　　大学有51%学生寄宿，校方共提供6，034个宿位，只能保证第一年新生必有宿位，其余学生抽签。校内宿舍大楼分为研究生宿舍、单身宿舍、外语宿舍、学术荣誉宿舍等等，其中的外语宿舍允许学生除了英语外，可用法语、德语、西班牙语、俄语等等为沟通语言媒介。

　　每个新生都必须购买学校的Meal Plan，分为Unlimited、Plus 15和Plus 13三种，价格都一样。学生可以随时调高Meal Plan的等级，但只能在规定时间内调低Meal Plan的等级。Unlimited可以一周无限量次出入饭堂，一学期有75 plus dollar。Plus 15一周可以在食堂吃15顿，一学期有200 plus dollar。Plus 13的话是每周13顿，一学期250 plus dollar。吃饭时间不规律的同学建议选Plus 13。Plus Dollar的用处广泛，Pavilion、Greenberry cafe等等都能用plus dollar消费。

　　弗吉尼亚大学位于弗吉尼亚州的中西部。弗吉尼亚州面积110，784 平方公里，人口约为800万人。

　　文化生活

　　弗州气候温和宜人。东部沿海地区冬季温度很少低于－9℃，夏季温度很少高于38℃。作物生长期长达8个月，比西部山区要多3个月。山区冬寒夏凉，冬温可低到－18℃，夏温一般低于32℃。

　　交通

　　该州交通发达，有公路9万公里，铁路6000公里，机场95处。重要海港有诺福克、纽波特纽斯、汉普顿和朴次茅斯等。华盛顿─雷根国家机场(DCA)─位于阿灵顿。以全美航空和达美航空的接驳班机为主。华盛顿─杜勒斯国际机场(IAD)─联合航空的转运中心。里士满国际机场(RIC)─位于弗吉尼亚首府里士满市区。机场/接机信息：如果大家将要购买机票，请尽量选择飞往Charlottesville机场（CHO）（不是Charlotte），CSSA保证对每位飞往CHO机场的同学提供免费的接机服务。如果无法飞往CHO 机场，可以飞往华盛顿Dulles（IAD）机场或者Richmond机场（RIC），但无法保证这两个机场的接机。本科生同学可参考学校UVA Express的相关通知，可以搭乘从IAD回UVA的巴士。
