　　学校简介

　　波士顿大学（Boston University）位于美国马萨诸塞州波士顿市，是一所非属宗派的私立大学。它在1839年建立于佛蒙特州时，是一所卫理公会的神学院，1847年迁移到新罕布什尔州的协和市，1867年又迁到马萨诸塞州布鲁克兰，最后由1939年至1948年间迁移至现今沿着查尔士河畔的校区。波士顿大学，历史悠久为全美第三大私立大学，计有15个学院。全校约30，000名的学生，大学部及研究所学生各半，而国际学生的比例则是居全美大学之冠。波士顿大学有学生天堂的美名，位于波士顿Boston的中心，紧临查理士河CHARLES RIVER河畔，交通十分便利。

　　波士顿大学创校于一八三九年，是全美第三大私立大学。全校有两万九千八百多名学生，来自于全美五十州及一百廿五个国家，海外学生总数约四千七百人。

　　住宿

　　波士顿大学在宿舍方面有4中选择。第一种是大型宿舍，其中又有8种可供选择，房间里都有床、书架、书桌椅子、衣柜、梳妆台、镜子、微波炉及小冰箱，有些房间自带洗手间有些则没有。第二种是小型宿舍，分为三个地点。第三种是公寓式宿舍，除了上述的物品外还自带厨房&洗手间。第四种则是小区式住房，学生住在小区一样的公寓中，每人有自己的房间，1-6个人一个公寓不等。

　　餐饮

　　为了满足学生的需求，波士顿大学设立了六种饮食计划。每种计划均包含了你这一周或是一学期所想要购买的特定的餐数，可以在住宅餐厅使用。加一美元，你就可以在更多的地方购买食物。一旦你选择了一种饮食计划，你便可以简单的通过刷卡付费。学校设有住宅区餐厅（整日开放，提供早午晚餐食谱及夜宵）与零售餐厅（十一家餐厅、十四家小食及咖啡店、一家晚间咖啡厅以及外卖pizza店）。

　　校园活动

　　学校中有免费的巴士，并准备了很多自行车位遍布整个校园，学校也有一个大型的停车场。学校有将近五百个学生俱乐部，同样也开设许多表演与讲座。惊险刺激的曲棍球是波士顿大学的特色。学校拥有一家全国最先进的健身房，270，000平方英尺，器材丰富。在这里，你可以慢跑、游泳、做瑜伽、打壁球、舞蹈、攀岩……课余活动十分丰富，凡你所想，应有尽有。同时，学校还开设形体教学、娱乐与舞蹈课程，和健身娱乐中心在一起。课程贯穿早中晚任何时段，一周七天无休。

　　波士顿大学位于美国马萨诸塞州波士顿市，是美国东北部新英格兰地区最大港口城市，马萨诸塞州的首府，是美国最古老、最有文化价值的城市之一。

　　波士顿和其他纽约芝加哥那种大城市不同，并不能算是繁华，却更偏重文化。各种博物馆，遍地的学校。生活节奏不快，很适合居住。波士顿水域面积占到了城市总面积的二分之一，风景宜人。

　　气候

　　波士顿和整个新英格兰地区一样，属于大陆性气候。但是由于濒临大西洋的地理位置，气候也明显受到海洋的影响。波士顿的气候变化迅速，气温突然连续几天升到30℃以上并不罕见。夏季炎热潮湿，而冬季寒冷，多风并且多雪。

　　交通

　　波士顿的交通系统只有一个公司“MBTA”，它包括了整个马萨诸塞州的巴士、轮船、地铁和班车。波士顿的地铁是美国历史最悠久的，有五条主线路，其中又有九条分线。巴士也很发达，基本上整个马萨诸塞都通。机场/接机信息： BU距离波士顿机场仅有15分钟的车程。到波士顿没有直飞的飞机，可以选择在纽约、旧金山、多伦多等地方转机。学生可以联系BU-CSSA来接机。公共交通方面可以做SL1再做Red Line再做Green Line。

　　周边企业

　　波士顿经济以银行、保险、投资管理和其他商业、金融业为主，有新英格兰区联邦储备银行、波士顿第一国民银行总部、全国最大的温默杰特证券交易所等以及50家保险公司。另外还有总部位于该市的吉列公司和泰瑞达公司，后者是世界顶级的半导体和其他电子试验设备制造商之一。

A：谢邀。排名多少，拿来和国内院校比较，都是虚的，无意义！留学，特别赴美留学，选择学校和专业，和你今后志向息息相关。如果选择留在美国发展，只要不太烂，不是社区大学，州立大学一级的学校足矣。美国人可不会像中国人那样，在乎你的学校排名。当然，除了公认的顶级名校，如藤系。如果选择今后回国发展，除了它QS排在世界前50的名校，一些在美国排名虽高，但国内并不知名的院校并无竞争力。这类院校在美国知名，大多因为它们的某些特殊专业，而这些专业并非主流，或者说由于国情，体制差别，回国就业并无优势，如外交，国际关系，金融等。不同情况要区别对待，否则做无用功吃亏是自己。
